Welcome to The Show all-star. The best selling and highest rated baseball franchise is back in MLB 10: The Show throwing you into an unsurpassed baseball experience where big moments come alive. It’s all here too. In addition to a wealth of improvements to longtime franchise features this newest release includes the return of the Home Run Derby, MLB All-Star Futures Game, Movie Maker, Catcher Mode, Personalized cheers and yells and Joe Mauer, newly crowned American League MVP, as the new cover athlete. So get ready, The Show is about to begin and you are leading off. The return of the Home Run Derby. View larger. | Game calling from the catcher position. View larger. | New fielding and pitcher training options. View larger. | 11 new stadiums and 1,250 new gameplay animations. View larger. | The Return of Home Run Derby The arcade style action of the Home Run Derby returns in MLB 10: The Show. Available through a variety play options, including season modes and a stand-alone mode that can be selected at any time, Home Run Derby is based on the MLB rules and flow of the actual MLB All-star game. In addition, the MLB All-star Futures Game is also available via season modes in its correct timeframe (just before the HR Derby). Will your Road to The Show player be invited to compete in the Home Run Derby or the Futures Game? Swing for the fences and keep your stats high and you may just get the call as the All-star break approaches. Call the Game as Catcher The catcher is the brains of any defensive squad on the field, and as such MLB 10: The Show lets you test both your baseball IQ and your skills in the crouch as you call the game, one pitch at a time, from behind the plate. Available during Road to The Show, and exhibition game play options, players cultivate their rookie Minor League catcher and bring him up to the Majors where he can lay down signs to your pitcher, offer additional pitch selections if his first pitch call is shaken off and even change signs at will, all via your controller's face buttons. Pitches are called from a unique first-person perspective, after which the camera angle changes to a standard third-person perspective affording a better view of the entire field. This new functionality defines a whole new level of strategy, demanding knowledge of pitches, opposing batters' tendencies and the state of your own pitcher's well-being, as well as the ability to check runners on base and handle and/or block balls that are in the dirt or wild. New Defensive Training Options No ballplayer becomes a golden glove overnight. With that in mind MLB 10: The Show includes new fielding and pitching training modes that augment the existing training functionality built into the game's improved Road to the Show mode. Fielding drills focus both on the basics of player's throwing arm, utilizing the new throw meter, as well as the more advanced combination of throwing and decision-making that players will need during game situations. Pitching training consists of a multi-pronged focus designed to improved control and accuracy. Training in these areas is available in isolated one-on-one battles known as "Knockout," as well as simulated game situations, where goals are clearly defined for each drill. Key Game Features - A Wealth of New Features Including:
- MLB All-star Week consisting of the Home Run Derby and MLB All-star Futures Game.

| Customer Reviews: beast September 4, 2010 alfonzo mlb 10 the show is very addicting. as soon as you start playing it you can't stop. the graphics are pretty good. rosters are up to date online which is nice.
Awesome Baseball Game September 3, 2010 djcharding This game is an awesome baseball game.. I love everything from the gameplay to the commentary. The career mode:'Road to the Show' really makes you feel that you're an actual baseball player trying to work your way up to the Major Leagues. You can easily spend too much time playing this game and that's one of the things I love about it. Batting is difficult to master, but after a little practice, there will be nothing in your way of having fun. This game will still amaze you after weeks of playing.
well well August 29, 2010 Spydy Loc (Ga) This game is realistic! maybe too much so, pitches no matter how perfect you locate rarely ever go exactly where you want them, guess thats like real life but it doesnt take away from the fun too much, maybe a little annoying here and there at the most. Graphically this is the best sports game ever, hands down. I have the collection of ps3 games to stand by that statement. Dont buy into others saying the games are predetermined, thats false. If your a baseball fan, and want to play with the great rookies from this year, look no further.
Great game with some design flaws August 26, 2010 mfx3 (Virginia) Overall, this game is great. This game is a blast. I love it. That said, it can be one of the most frustrating games you'll ever play. Just a few points to make on the more frustrating elements. Yes, hitting comes with a very steep learning curve. It has taken me approximately 25 full games played to really get a handle on the hitting. Now I strike out 3-4 times per game instead of 18-20 times per game. Hitting is tough to learn, but you will learn it and the challenge of hitting actually becomes part of the fun as a result. That said, the physics of the baseball itself are ridiculous. Any time the ball hits the outfield wall, it takes an unpredictable bounce with all the force of a cannon. It's like you're trying to run down one of those small rubber bouncy-balls, and can kill you if you're closing in right before it hits the wall and bounces with lightning speed in an unexpected direction. If that happens, the hitter's already got a triple. If the physics were more accurate here, fielding would be less frustrating. Also, keep track of your pitcher's level of energy. When it gets low, the opponent can score 3-4 runs on you in as many swings. That seems a bit ridiculous too. All in all though, great game.
I have played The Show since 2007 and it's getting worse! August 23, 2010 Mike Rogers (Belmont, CA, USA) This is not my first year playing this game franchise. I was impressed with it in 2007 as well as 2008. But each year they add more and more features and do not resolve major bugs that cause the game to crash regularly. Many people are outraged and have subsequently been banished from their online support forum, which means they cannot ask questions on how to fix their problems.
The only redeeming quality of this game is that the gameplay is excellent. Everything else is below average. Online is my main focus and if you plan to focus on the online portion I urge you to buy another game. In fact just this week everyone lost their lifetime stats (everything reset to 0) and no statement was even issued that day.
The game crashes roughly 1:3 times at the team select screen so you have to reset the game.
Terrible terrible terrible. Shame on Sony for putting this broken piece out on the market. After being a loyal customer: 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 I will boycott this game in 2011.
